Brewstead Refund Policy

Refund rules for Brewstead Early Access Pro

Version 0.1 | Prepared: August 22, 2026 | Effective upon first public publication of this version

1. 14-Day Any-Reason Refund

You may request a refund of a Brewstead Early Access Pro purchase for any reason within 14 calendar days after the purchase date. You do not have to provide a reason, although voluntary feedback is welcome and may help improve Brewstead.

2. How to Request a Refund

Send the request to homebrewingapp@gmail.com from, or clearly identify, the verified email associated with the Brewstead purchase. Include enough purchase information for Brewstead to locate the transaction, such as the purchase date or transaction reference. Brewstead may verify account ownership before processing the refund.

Early Access refunds may initially be processed manually through the payment processor. Brewstead will make reasonable efforts to process valid requests promptly, but the time for funds to appear after approval depends on the payment processor and the customer's financial institution.

3. Refund Amount

A valid refund is intended to return the Brewstead purchase price and any refundable taxes collected by Brewstead for that transaction, subject to applicable law and payment-processor rules. Brewstead does not reimburse separate fees independently charged by a customer's bank, card issuer, currency provider, or other third party.

4. Exceptional Refunds After 14 Days

After the standard 14-day period, Brewstead may provide a refund when required by law or when Brewstead determines an exceptional circumstance warrants one. Examples may include:

  • a duplicate or erroneous Brewstead charge;
  • a genuine device incompatibility affecting a device that meets Brewstead's published support requirements and that Brewstead cannot reasonably resolve;
  • a material billing or entitlement error attributable to Brewstead; or
  • permanent discontinuation of Early Access without a general V1 release or successor release that carries forward the purchaser's entitlement, as described in the Early Access Purchase Terms.

Exceptional refunds are reviewed case by case unless a broader refund obligation applies to all affected purchasers.

5. Effect of a Refund

When a refund is approved, the associated Pro entitlement is revoked or deactivated. The user's Free account and user-created brewing data are not deleted merely because the paid entitlement was refunded. Account deletion is a separate process.

A voluntary refund generally removes eligibility for permanent Founding Brewer recognition. If Brewstead itself discontinues Early Access and issues a program-wide refund, Brewstead may preserve Founding Brewer recognition in a successor service if appropriate.

6. Chargebacks and Payment Abuse

A chargeback or payment reversal may suspend or revoke the related Pro entitlement while the dispute is resolved. Legitimate billing problems can be corrected when resolved. Repeated abusive chargebacks, deliberate payment fraud, or entitlement circumvention may result in account restrictions, termination, or permanent ineligibility for paid access.

7. Refunds Are Separate from Account Deletion

Deleting a Brewstead account does not automatically create a refund right, and requesting a refund does not automatically delete a Brewstead account. If you are considering permanent account deletion while a paid entitlement is still active, review the Account & Data Deletion Policy and contact Brewstead if you have questions about the effect on the entitlement.

8. Contact

Refund requests and billing questions may be sent to homebrewingapp@gmail.com.
